AttendanceMattersRI: Governor McKee, Commissioner Infante-Green Recognize Weekly Attendance Leaders and Improved Schools
Week of November 13, 2023
PROVIDENCE, RI- Acknowledging the importance of consistent attendance in education and in alignment with the #AttendanceMattersRI campaign, Governor Dan McKee and Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green are pleased to highlight the top elementary, middle, and high schools with the greatest average weekly attendance, as well as elementary and secondary schools with the greatest improvement in weekly attendance.
The following schools are Rhode Island’s attendance leaders for the week of November 13, 2023*:
- Elementary: E.G. Robertson School, Warwick – 97.91%
- Middle: Lawn Avenue School, Jamestown – 96.92%
- High School: Trinity Academy for the Performing Arts ** – 97.51%
Special recognition is extended to the following schools for demonstrating the most improved average attendance rates from the previous week:
- Elementary: Centredale
Elementary School, North Providence — 3.56% - Middle: Hamlet Middle School, Woonsocket – 4.24%
- High School: Newcomer Academy, Providence – 4.67%
The Governor and Commissioner express their gratitude and encouragement to all schools in Rhode Island for their ongoing efforts to prioritize attendance and reinforce the value of consistent learning experiences for all students.
