A jury in Wilmington, Del., on Tuesday found Hunter Biden guilty of three felony counts of lying on a federal firearms application in 2018.
The verdict was handed down after three hours of deliberations, after a weeklong trial in federal court.

In a statement after the verdict, Hunter Biden said: “I am more grateful today for the love and support I experienced this last week from Melissa, my family, my friends, and my community than I am disappointed by the outcome.”

President Biden has said he will not pardon his son, and on Tuesday he said in a statement: “I will accept the outcome of this case and will continue to respect the judicial process as Hunter considers an appeal.”

Hunter Biden could face up to 25 years in prison, but first-time offenders who did not use their weapons to commit a violent crime typically receive no jail time. No sentencing date was set.
