CCRI Hosts Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony to Celebrate Grand Opening of New Casino Training Academy, Sponsored by Bally’s Corporation
The Community College of Rhode Island is hosting a special Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony on Thursday, October 3, starting at 3pm to celebrate the opening of its Casino Training Academy, sponsored by Bally’s Corporation.
Dr. Rosemary A. Costigan, Ph.D., R.N., Interim President, Community College of Rhode Island will be joined by K. Joseph Shekarchi, Speaker of the R.I. House of Representatives and Craig Eaton, President, Bally’s Corporation R.I Operations at the event.
The Training Academy, located at CCRI’s Flanagan Campus in Lincoln, RI, is the home to the college’s newest Division of Workforce Partnerships training offering, Introduction to Table Games Dealer Training, which begins in October. The ribbon cutting will include live demonstrations of the training program and simulated games.
The Introduction to Table Games Dealer Training course signals the launch of CCRI’s new gaming-focused curriculum, providing students with the skills necessary to thrive in high-demand industries while contributing to the local economy.
