AttendanceMattersRI: Governor McKee, Commissioner Infante-Green Recognize Weekly Attendance Leaders and Improved Schools
             
      Week of January 15, 2025
PROVIDENCE, RI — Acknowledging the importance of consistent attendance in education and in alignment with the #AttendanceMattersRI campaign, Governor Dan McKee and Commissioner 
The following schools are Rhode Island’s attendance leaders for the week of January 15, 2025*:
- Elementary: Community Elementary School, Cumberland – 97.3%
 - Middle: North Cumberland Middle School – 95.8%
 - High School: Rhode Island Nurses Institute Middle College – 97.3%
 
Special recognition is extended to the following schools for demonstrating the most improved average attendance rates from the previous week:
- Elementary: Thornton Elementary School, Johnston – 5.9%
 - Middle: Nicholas A. Ferri Middle School, Johnston – 2.6%
 - High School: Rhode Island Nurses Institute Middle College – 8.9%
