San Juan, PR (October 20, 2025) – Global music legend Daddy Yankee reached number one on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart in both the United States and Puerto Rico with his song “Sonríele,” officially marking the artist’s return to the music industry.

This achievement adds a new chapter to Daddy Yankee’s career, as he now has 29 number-one singles on the Billboard Latin charts.

“Sonríele” marks the beginning of a new musical and spiritual era for the artist with his first studio album in three years, Lamento en baile, released under his own label DY Records.

The album presents a fusion of rhythm, reflection, and purpose, with standout tracks such as “Who is God,” “Tan invitao,” “LEB,” “Jezabel y Judas” (produced by Sergio George), and “ABCD” (produced by Alex Zurdo). The album also features trending songs “DTB,” “Jardín rojo,” “T Alabaré,” and “Tu amor me conviene.”

Released on October 16th, the album was accompanied by the track “El Toque” and a music video filmed in South Korea. Both the song and the video reflect the global vision and creative evolution that define Lamento en Baile.
