CENTRAL FALLS CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS ENDORSE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR SABINA MATOS FOR REELECTION
CENTRAL FALLS, RI — Central Falls City Councilors Rivas, Kazarian, Solano, Peguero and Rosado Martinez today announced their endorsement of Lieutenant Governor Sabina Matos for reelection, underscoring her strong ties to the city and her record of fighting for working families across Rhode Island.
“Lieutenant Governor Sabina Matos has been an ally to Central Falls, and we value her support for our community. For that reason, we are proud to support her reelection,” Council President Pro Tempore Rivas stated.
As the former President of the Providence City Council, Lieutenant Governor Matos has made working with diverse municipalities a cornerstone of her administration. After moving to Rhode Island from the Dominican Republic, Matos has been a consistent voice for immigrant communities, working families, and small business owners. She believes in this country and that its economy must work for everyone, not just a few.
The Council’s endorsement reflects Matos’s track record of delivering real results — from expanding access to job training and workforce development programs, to securing state resources for housing and economic revitalization in communities like Central Falls.
“The support of the Central Falls City Council members means the world to me. The people of Central Falls are the families I think about every single day when I go to work, and I am more committed than ever to making sure their voices are represented in our state’s government,” Matos said.
This slate of endorsements adds to Lieutenant Governor Matos’s growing coalition of support from elected officials, community leaders, and organizations across Rhode Island heading into the 2026 election.
