PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The North Providence Democratic Town Committee last night voted overwhelmingly to endorse Governor Dan McKee for re-election, backing his campaign by a vote of 37-2.

The endorsement adds to the growing coalition supporting Governor McKee, including UNAP, Secretary of State Gregg Amore, General Treasurer James A. Diossa, and municipal leaders from across the state, including North Providence Mayor Charles Lombardi.

“I’m proud to have earned the support of the North Providence Democratic Committee,” said Governor Dan McKee. “While my opponent was cashing in and profiting from Rhode Islanders’ pain as a corporate executive, I was delivering for our families – lowering costs, growing our economy, and standing up to Donald Trump’s chaos. I’m grateful to have North Providence Democrats in our corner as we keep that work going.”

Governor McKee is running for re-election to continue putting money back in Rhode Island families’ pockets and standing up to Donald Trump’s efforts to rip away Rhode Islanders’ health care, food assistance, jobs, and other critical services. Since taking office, Governor McKee has delivered for Rhode Islanders, creating over 37,000 private sector jobs, cutting energy bills by $21 million, and keeping Rhode Island building despite national economic uncertainty.
