Amo Statement on Ongoing Investigation into the Brown University Shooting
Providence, RI – TODAY, Congressman Gabe Amo (D-RI) issued the following statement on the ongoing investigation into yesterday’s shooting at Brown University:
Brown University, Providence, and our entire state are continuing to reel from yesterday’s tragic shooting. My thoughts remain with the families and loved ones of the two students killed, those recovering at Rhode Island Hospital, and those impacted in our wider community.
I am thankful that through the prompt action of law enforcement, a person of interest is in custody. Anyone with information regarding the shooting should submit it to the FBI tip website as investigators continue to build their case.
We have a long journey ahead. Resources are available, and my team and I stand ready to provide any and all possible federal support as the investigation continues.
As we begin to heal, we must stand together, support those affected, and strive towards a safe, secure community for all.
