Providence, RI – On Thursday, March 5th, at 6 p.m., the Providence City Council will convene in the Council Chamber on the third floor of City Hall. Press and the public are invited to attend.

After receiving first passage at the previous council meeting, councilors will consider an ordinance amendment regulating building design standards. These updates reflect the vision for new housing developments as outlined in the 2024 Comprehensive Plan.

Councilors will also consider, for a second passage, updates to the utility permits ordinance, including requirements that utilities provide public notice to residents in advance of work that impacts their neighborhoods.

The meeting’s docket can be accessed through the open meetings portal.
