Elizabeth Beretta-Perik Endorses James Diossa

Pawtucket, RI, — Today, state and national democratic advocate Elizabeth Beretta-Perik endorsed James Diossa for General Treasurer. Ms. Beretta-Perik presently serves as Treasurer for the Rhode Island Democratic Party and is Rhode Island’s Democratic National Committeewoman. Ms. Beretta-Perik issued the following statement of support:

For me, as a former banker and having known James for over a decade, I trust that James will protect the pension system, continue issuing school bonds and lending state expertise to the city and town pensions. He has my vote.

James has previously been endorsed by the Rhode Island Democratic Party, seven sitting Democratic Mayors, nearly one third of the Rhode Island Senate, 14 members of the Rhode Island House of Representatives and thousands of Rhode Islanders who have already cast their vote so far this Primary season.
