Fatal shooting in the City of Pawtucket

An arrest has been made relative to the shooting/homicide investigation yesterday at 54 Arch Street, Pawtucket.

ERIC PETERSON, age 37 of 54 Arch Street, first floor will be charged in 6th District court this morning on the following charges:

Murder in the 1st degree
(3) Counts of using a firearm while committing a crime of violence.
(2) Counts of felony assault.
Possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Carry a pistol without a license.

The Pawtucket Police would like to thank the RI Attorney General’s office with their assistance with this investigation, which remains ongoing. This appears to have been an isolated incident regarding the first floor tenant and second floor family of that address.
