Governor Dan McKee Dominates With Massive Cash Advantage
McKee has a $500k cash advantage heading into the final stretch of the primary campaign
PROVIDENCE – Governor Dan McKee’s campaign released the following statement in response to new second quarter fundraising reports that show the governor has a roughly $500 thousand cash on hand advantage over his closest competitors as the campaign enters the final weeks.
“Rhode Islanders want to see more of the momentum that Governor McKee has delivered in his first year and a half in office – and the latest fundraising numbers are a strong indicator,” said Brexton Isaacs, Campaign Manager for Governor Dan McKee. “Going into this final stretch before a crucial primary election, we are energized by our strong endorsements from organized labor, the enthusiasm we experience on the ground with Rhode Islanders from across the state, and the Governor’s strong record of accomplishment that we are excited to talk with voters about. With the most resources available of any campaign in these final six weeks, we look forward to highlighting the strong leadership Governor McKee has displayed for Rhode Islanders. From eliminating the car tax and investing $250 million in affordable housing, to championing common sense gun safety laws and taking executive action to protect reproductive rights, Governor McKee has delivered strong results for Rhode Island and we look forward to delivering that message to primary voters.”
