Governor McKee and URI’s Leadership Celebrate Upgrades to Fine Arts Center

Thursday morning leaders, school faculty, and students were celebrating the construction of the Fine Arts Center.

Construction on this dated and deficiently facility is expected to cost about $100 million.  Half of the money is covered by a voter approval bond of $57.3 million. The project is expected to be completed by September 2025.

The ceremonial beam signing was held behind the building. The beam was signed by school leaders and lawmakers and it will be lifted into place this fall or early winter
