Renovation of 25 rooms in the Town Hall Annex will create wellness, workforce development and Learn365RI education spaces

 

Governor McKee’s $81.5M Community Learning Center initiative includes more than 20 hubs across the state

COVENTRY, RI — Governor Dan McKee will join Coventry town leaders for a groundbreaking ceremony for a 38,500-square-foot Community Learning Center at the Coventry Town Hall Annex. Financed through a $4.5 million Community Learning Center grant and an additional $200,000 in federal funds, the center will convert 25 existing rooms into multiuse training spaces, a computer lab, a parent resource area, and a wellness center.

 

The Coventry Community Learning Center project is part of Governor McKee’s unprecedented $81.5 million investment in Community Learning Centers across 18 municipalities. Aligning with the Governor’s RI 2030 long-range plan, all centers will offer education, workforce development, and health and wellness programming.

The groundbreaking will take place at Coventry Town Hall Annex, Tuesday, June 17th at 11:00 a.m.
