Mayor Baldelli-Hunt Lauds Barbara Scanlon Planning Board Appointment and Commends Her Prior City Service

WOONSOCKET, R.I.: Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt today acclaimed the appointment of Barbara Scanlon to the City of Woonsocket’s Planning Board and commended her public service to the City. Scanlon’s appointment started July 18, 2022, and will continue until April 20, 2024. Scanlon, a life-long Woonsocket resident, had previously been a member of the Woonsocket Redevelopment Agency. She replaces Roji Eappen, whose term had expired.

Mayor Baldelli-Hunt exclaimed, “I am delighted to appoint someone of Barbara’s character to our Planning Board. Her experience and nowledge of issues facing our community will positively impact our growth and development, and her ability to listen to the needs of various parties will help us have fair-minded and open discussions on matters of importance to our residents and businesses.”
