Mayor Smiley to Unveil Improvements to Paterson Park

PROVIDENCE, RI – Mayor Brett P. Smiley will today join Councilman John Goncalves, Superintendent of Providence Parks Wendy Nilsson and Al Dahlberg from Friends of Paterson Park to unveil the newly renovated Paterson Park. This project was funded through the City’s Capital Improvement Plan and the Providence Parks Department for a total of $340,000. The playground has been revitalized, including a new play structure for children aged 2-5 and 5-12, complete with playhouses and natural elements. The junior basketball area has been relocated and replaced with fencing and the landscaping has been enhanced to make Paterson Park more functional for community members to enjoy.
