NAIL TAPPED TO CREATE NEW RHODE ISLAND PRO SOCCER TEAM IDENTITY
Providence-based firm to help create the name, crest and colors of the men’s pro soccer team
PROVIDENCE, R.I. — NAIL Communications today announced a new partnership with Rhode Island Pro Soccer to coordinate the design and development of a name, crest and colors for Rhode Island’s new professional men’s soccer team.

“No decision will be more important for this club than our name and the story tied to it, all symbolized and embodied in our crest,” said club chairman Brett Johnson. “This is why it is so important for Rhode Islanders to share what they love most about their state, neighborhoods and the world’s game as we engage the community in our Listening Tours.”
Work is already underway with NAIL and Rhode Island Pro Soccer who are engaging stakeholders and community members for input and ideas that will inform the team’s identity including an online survey in English, Spanish and Portuguese, virtual listening sessions and an in-person listening tour. The new Rhode Island professional soccer team will play in the United Soccer League (USL) Championship, the second division of American men’s soccer. The USL is the largest and fastest-growing professional soccer organization in North America with over 30 clubs in the USL Championship. The club will call the new waterfront stadium at Tidewater Landing in Pawtucket their home pitch beginning in 2023.
