NEA Rhode Island Unanimously Endorses Governor Dan McKee
PROVIDENCE – National Education Association Rhode Island announced today its unanimous vote to endorse Governor Dan McKee for a full term.
“I am deeply committed to our schools, students, and educators – a high quality education is the foundation of each of our communities. There’s nothing more important we can do for the future of Rhode Island than invest in our kids and empower our educators to help them succeed,” said Governor Dan McKee. “When I took office as Governor, one of my first calls was to the NEARI. We worked together to vaccinate our educators so they could continue their important work safely; this kickstarted a strong working partnership. I look forward to continuing our relationship and working together to strengthen public schools for all students. My family and I are all proud graduates of Rhode Island public schools and I’m honored to have the support of the hard working people who make our schools succeed.”
Governor Dan McKee, First Lady Susan McKee, and both of their children graduated from Cumberland High School. Susan McKee is a career public-school teacher and longtime NEARI member.
