OUPD continues investigating possible shots fired on Norman campus
NORMAN, Okla. –Authorities at the University of Oklahoma said in an alert that there is an active-shooter situation at the Van Vleet Oval on the Norman campus near the library.
As of 10:25 p.m. Friday, officials have not confirmed that anyone has been shot. It said that the campus is secure by OUPD.
10:20 p.m. Friday Update: OU officials said that as of 10:04 p.m. university police continue to investigate possible shots fired on the Norman campus. They have asked people to avoid the South Oval area and to continue sheltering in place.
