PAWTUCKET FIRST LADY GREBIEN GEARS UP TO DISTRIBUTE 850+ TURKEY BASKETS
PAWTUCKET – First Lady Laureen Grebien announces the upcoming assembling and distribution of 850+ turkey baskets to low-income Pawtucket residents. These baskets, distributed, will help these individuals to celebrate Thanksgiving with their families.
Over 100 volunteers, from students, adults, members of civic groups, and Pawtucket City employees, will show up to load 12 items per brown box on packing night, seal packages are then delivered today, Monday, including a turkey and traditional items. Wish Come True has donated 100 turkeys and Fall River-based Gold Medal Bakery donated 900 loafs of bread. Local businesses, banks, and City residents made donations to purchase food for these baskets.
The Assembling of turkey boxes took place Friday, November 22, 2024. Distribution of baskets is today, Monday, November 25, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 100 Main St., Pawtucket, RI.
