Pawtucket Police arrest Providence man linked to weekend shooting
An arrest has been made stemming from the shooting that had occurred on 3/4/23 at approximately 9:15 p.m. The investigation uncovered that the incident originally occurred in the vicinity of Bullock at Harrison Streets. The rear window of an occupied vehicle was shot at that location. Two suspects fled into a nearby residence. The vehicle then fled the scene to Hancock Street where patrol officers came upon three occupants, one being the victim. Two persons of interest were taken into custody but only one was ultimately charged. A firearm was seized as evidence.
Nicholas Armenti, age 25, from Providence, was arrested on 3/5/23 and arraigned by a bail commissioner. He was held at the ACI as a violator. The charges are as follows:
1. Felony assault (3 counts)
2. Carrying a pistol w/o license
3. Possession of a firearm by a prohibited person
4. Use of a firearm during a crime of violence
5. Firing in a compact area
