Providence man charged with second-degree child molestation
An indictment, information, or complaint is merely an allegation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Attorney General Peter F. Neronha announced that a Providence man has been charged in Providence County Superior Court with three counts of second-degree child molestation following his arrest by the Providence Police Department on January 23, 2023.
On March 31, 2023, the Office of the Attorney General charged Luis Lorenzo (age 40), by way of criminal information, with three counts of second-degree child molestation.
It is alleged that the defendant sexually assaulted a female victim, under the age of 14, multiple times between April 2017 and December 2018.
The defendant is scheduled for a pre-arraignment conference on May 18, 2023, in Providence County Superior Court.
