Providence Man Stabs Sister to Death and Mother is in Critical Condition

Providence,RI – A man has been arrested after he stabbed his sister to death and his mother is in critical condition from her injuries.

Providence police said that the young woman was in the driveway of her Adelaide Avenue residence, on her way to work when 29-year-old Wesney Clairsainvil approached her and stabbed her multiple times. The mother came out to intervene and he stabbed her as well.

Both women were rush to the hospital. The 28 year old woman died of her injuries and the mother is in critical condition.

Police learned at the scene that Clairsainvil was at his home on Public Street. The SWAT team was called in and was able to enter the home and arrest the suspect.

Clairsainvil has been charged with murder, assault with intent to commit a felony resulting in serious injury, and disorderly conduct.
