WORCESTER, MA – The Worcester Red Sox today unveiled a Half-Season Plan that includes the first opportunity to secure “Mini-Monster Seats” atop the Worcester Wall.  The Triple-A season typically includes 70 home games.  These ticket plans go on sale tomorrow, Wednesday, November 18, at 10 a.m. at gowoosox.com and a new Worcester telephone number, 508-500-8888.

The 22-foot high blue wall in right field is a Worcester version of Fenway Park’s famed “Green Monster,” and was necessitated by a 30-foot drop in topography at the site in the city’s resurgent Canal District.  The 255 seats (compared to 274 seats atop the Green Monster) are arranged in three rows, and in a notable distinction, are at grade or just below Summit Street, which will operate as one of two pedestrian thoroughfares at the ballpark (along with Plymouth Street).

“You can walk along our vibrant Summit Street Fair and step down to your seats,” said Rob Crain, the WooSox’ Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  “You are literally on top of the action.  We see this experience as one of the unique and wonderful features of Polar Park.”

Full season ticket holders and members of the Worcester Red Sox Booster Club were given the first opportunity to purchase the seats.  Membership in the Booster Club is free.

Also going on sale tomorrow are half-season plans in other available season ticket categories, such as Home Plate Field Boxes, First Base Field Boxes, and Third Base Field Boxes.    Seats in the DCU Club sold out on a full season basis, and Dugout Seats are expected to follow shortly.

Last Thursday, the club announced that it would cap full season tickets at 2,100 per game to ensure that all fans have access to the most desirable seats in the ballpark.

Fans can speak to a member of the WooSox’ sales team by calling 508-500-8888, a new Worcester phone number introduced today.  Fans can of course also visit gowoosox.com to purchase tickets for more information.
