Statement Regarding Large Police Presence at Jenks Middle School/McCoy Stadium

Earlier this afternoon, Jenks Middle School received a concerning phone call prompting them to enact their emergency protocols. In conjunction with the Pawtucket Police Department and out of an abundance of caution, the decision was made to evacuate the building. Jenks students are being dismissed from their evacuation site at McCoy Stadium, while the Police conduct their investigation inside the school. Several students were experiencing anxiety, and have since been evaluated. No one has been transported for medical emergencies. Students and staff are safe and following planned procedures.

Pawtucket Police will send out an official release later this afternoon.
