The Rhode Island Foundation, with support from the Providence Department of Art, Culture and Tourism, the Roger Williams Park Conservancy and the Providence Parks Department, is inviting the public to a free performance of the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra’s Summer Pops in the Park concert at the Roger Williams Park Temple to Music on Wednesday, August 6, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

“Together with our partners, we are inviting the public to what has become a yearly tradition for thousands of Rhode Islanders,” said David N. Cicilline, president and CEO of the Rhode Island Foundation. “Civic and Cultural Life is one of the community priorities that are at the heart of our work. Community begins where people come together to share common experiences. There is no better place to build those bonds than in one of Rhode Island’s most beloved spots.”

Conducted by Troy Quinn, the 69-piece orchestra will play two 40-minute sets featuring a program of TV’s greatest theme songs. In addition to the concert, food trucks will be onsite at the Temple to Music serving local, regional, and global cuisine.
