Treasurer Diossa Statement Following Governor McKee’s State of the State Address
Providence, RI – Today, Rhode Island General Treasurer James Diossa released the following statement at the conclusion of Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee’s 2023 State of the State Address.
“Tonight our state heard a powerful message from Governor McKee on his plans for the success of all Rhode Islanders,” said Treasurer Diossa. “In recent months, families from Woonsocket to Westerly have struggled to make ends meet due to inflationary pressures. We know there is work to be done, and the Governor’s proposed tax relief plan is a key step in ensuring that no Rhode Islander will have to choose between putting food on the table or paying the bills. I look forward to working with Governor McKee so that we can build a better Rhode Island – one that is healthier, has improved education outcomes for our students, and is a more competitive place to do business.”
