Victor Mellor Engages National Leaders in Washington to Advance Healthcare Reform and Economic Growth for Rhode Island

Washington, D.C. — Congressional candidate Vic Mellor continues to build momentum on the national stage, meeting with top Republican leadership and advancing bold healthcare reform initiatives aimed at lowering costs for Rhode Islanders.
As a founding member of the Great American Health Alliance (GAHA), Mellor is helping lead a transformative effort to overhaul the nation’s healthcare system. The initiative focuses on increasing price transparency, lowering prescription drug costs through global price parity, and putting money back into the hands of American citizens.
“Rhode Islanders deserve a healthcare system that is transparent, affordable, and works for them—not the insurance companies,” said Mellor. “We’re working to deliver real solutions that reduce costs and improve access.”
During his recent visit to Washington, Mellor met with officials at the Republican National Committee (RNC), strengthening relationships and coordinating resources to support Rhode Island’s future.
Building on that momentum, Mellor has been invited back to Washington this week to meet with members of the House Ways and Means Committee, which oversees federal funding and economic policy. The discussions will focus on bringing increased investment, job opportunities, and economic growth to Rhode Island.
Mellor’s efforts are centered on addressing one of the top concerns for Rhode Islanders: the rising cost of living. By advancing healthcare reform and advocating for economic development, his campaign is focused on delivering tangible results for working families.
“Our goal is simple,” Mellor added. “Make Rhode Island more affordable, create better opportunities, and ensure our families can build a future right here at home.”
