Rhode Island FC Announces Soccer Rhode Island as Youth Soccer Partner
Organizations unite to accelerate education and development across the state
PAWTUCKET, R.I. (March 22, 2024) – Today, Rhode Island FC announced Soccer Rhode Island as the club’s Youth Soccer Partner. As the largest youth soccer organization in the state, Soccer Rhode Island services over 23,000 youth players and 3,500 coaches throughout the region. The focus of the partnership will emphasize support and collaboration between RIFC and Soccer Rhode Island year-round as both organizations continue to grow and support the greater soccer community.
To kick off the affiliation, Rhode Island FC and Soccer Rhode Island are partnering for Youth Soccer night on April 6, when the club hosts Charleston Battery at 7:30 p.m. The community event at Beirne Stadium will include an exclusive gate giveaway for all young fans in attendance, games, merch and swag inside RIFC Fan Fest, as well as player autographs after the match. A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2000, Soccer Rhode Island offers and administers a variety of programs designed to educate, train, support and develop the Ocean State’s current and future generations of athletes, coaches, referees and parents. A member of US Youth Soccer, the nation’s largest youth sports organization, Soccer Rhode Island is managed by a Board of Directors overseeing several programs including ODP, Competitive Soccer, Recreation Soccer and TOPSoccer. The organization also sponsors numerous competitive and recreational tournaments and festivals throughout the year.

Soccer Rhode Island currently services 38 member clubs across the state, including Bayside FC and Scorpions SC (Bruno United FC), the former youth clubs of recent RIFC signees Kevin Vang and Nate Silveira, respectively. Rhode Island FC continues its inaugural 2024 USL Championship season at Bryant University’s Beirne Stadium on April 6 at 7:30 p.m. against Charleston Battery.
