Cranston, RI — Cranston City Councilman Frank Ritz today announced his candidacy for re-election, renewing his commitment to what he calls “results over rhetoric” and continuing a record focused on transparency, accountability, and measurable outcomes for Cranston residents.

“Cranston deserves leadership that doesn’t just talk—but delivers,” said Ritz. “We’ve made real progress, but there’s more work to do. I’m running for re-election to keep pushing forward for our residents.”

Ritz said his approach in office has been simple: “Less noise, more results.” He added, “If it doesn’t improve safety, lower costs, or make government more accountable, it’s not worth doing.”

Throughout his time in office, Ritz has built a reputation for being accessible, responsive, and focused on the issues that matter most to taxpayers and families across the city.

“People don’t want excuses from City Hall—they want action,” Ritz said. “That’s the standard I hold myself to every day.”

Faster Emergency Response in Schools

“No politics—just progress,” Ritz said. “I’ll continue asking tough questions, demanding clear answers, and delivering results for the people of Cranston.”

He added: “I’m not running to make noise—I’m running to make a difference. And I intend to keep doing exactly that.”

Ritz concluded: “I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together—and I’m ready to keep working every day to move Cranston forward.”
