As we continue our Summer of Celebration, I invite everyone to join us for another exciting weekend filled with community, culture, and Fourth of July festivities right here in Pawtucket.

Our international soccer watch parties have quickly become one of the most popular events of the summer, bringing neighbors, families, and fans together to celebrate the game and the incredible diversity that makes our city so special.

Tonight, Friday, July 3, we’re excited to host a special double-header Watch Party featuring Cape Verde vs. Argentina, followed by Colombia vs. Ghana. Whether you’re cheering for your favorite team or simply enjoying the atmosphere, we hope you’ll join us for another unforgettable evening.

Then on Saturday, July 4, we’re proud to partner once again with Centreville Bank Stadium for Pawtucket’s Official Fourth of July Celebration. The festivities begin at 6:00 p.m. with a free pregame Block Party featuring live entertainment, food trucks, family-friendly activities, and fun for all ages. Pawtucket residents can also take advantage of discounted tickets to the Rhode Island FC match, or simply enjoy the Block Party before setting up a chair along the Riverwalk for a spectacular postgame fireworks display.

There is no better place to celebrate Independence Day than right here in Pawtucket. I encourage you to bring your family, friends, and neighbors to enjoy everything our city has to offer during this special holiday weekend.

On behalf of all of us at City Hall, I wish you and your loved ones a safe, happy, and memorable Fourth of July. I look forward to celebrating with you in Pawtucket!

Warm regards,

Mayor Donald R. Grebien
