AAA Northeast is aiming to keep hard-working health care workers healthy and safe on the roads by delivering boxes of nutritious snacks and free AAA memberships to hospitals across the state on Wednesday in honor of National Random Acts of Kindness Day.  AAA employees will caravan with AAA emergency vehicles displaying a “Thank You to Our Healthcare Workers” message to deliver the gift boxes to South County, Kent, Women & Infants, Butler, Miriam, Rhode Island, and Bradley Hospitals.

The “act of kindness” effort hopes to enable health care workers to quickly access healthy foods during long shifts caring for COVID-19 patients and others. “Our local healthcare workers have been bearing the strain of the pandemic for nearly a year.  AAA wants to support these heroes, whether that means giving them a snack so they can recharge or when their vehicle’s battery needs to be recharged, ” says Lloyd Albert, Senior Vice President of Public & Government Affairs at AAA Northeast.

A Club service vehicle will depart Wednesday, February 17th at from AAA headquarters in Providence, stopping first at South County Hospital for 10:00am to honor hospital employees.
