Governor Dan McKee to File Declaration of Candidacy for Re-Election

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Today, Tuesday, June 23, Governor Dan McKee officially filed his declaration of candidacy for re-election to keep lowering costs for working families, defending access to health care, and fighting back against Donald Trump’s efforts to gut the programs, protections, and jobs Rhode Islanders depend on.

Since taking office, Governor McKee has delivered real results for Rhode Island families: creating over 37,000 private sector jobs, raising the minimum wage and creating a millionaire’s tax, saving two hospitals on the verge of closing, and successfully taking Trump to court to defend Revolution Wind – protecting good-paying union jobs, lower bills, and clean energy for 200,000 homes.
