Barrington, RI – Today, the Jason Knight for Attorney General campaign released its first TV advertisement, “Keep Us Safe.” The 30-second ad tells the story of a personal tragedy that changed Jason and his wife, Nicole, forever, inspiring Jason’s career in public service fighting to protect women’s rights and keep all Rhode Islanders safe. The ad will be featured across broadcast, cable, and digital channels over the coming weeks.

“The shooting at the Planned Parenthood clinic where my wife worked changed us both forever and shaped my career in public service. That’s why as a legislator I worked to codify Roe vs. Wade into state law and led the effort to pass Rhode Island’s assault weapons ban. As Attorney General, the people of Rhode Island will never have to question my progressive values, why I’m fighting, or who I’m fighting for,” said Jason Knight.

I’m Jason Knight.

I was serving on a submarine in the middle of the Atlantic when I heard the news.

There was a shooting at the Planned Parenthood clinic where my wife worked.

Thank God she was ok.  But others weren’t so lucky.

That tragedy changed us forever.

That’s why, as a legislator, I worked to codify Roe vs. Wade into state law.

And led the fight to pass Rhode Island’s assault weapons ban.
