Latino Public Radio join Lights and Sirens International,  with great success at the opening  of LSI ‘s 14th Annual Basketball Tournament and Humanitarian Trip , “Vacation with a Purpose”.  As customary, there is a Meet & Greet, where the participants  meet and share who they are and from where, prior to the full agenda, loaded of charities stops and the basketball tournament.

With the presence of Ibn Bakari, Founder and President of LSI, law officers from the Providence Police Department, the Rhode Island State Police and from other states, the event was inaugurated, which took place Wednesday 22. Starting Thursday 23rd thru Sunday 26th of February, in the city of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic the tournament will begin.

The objective of the event is to establish ties between minority communities and the police, while charity works are carried out, with the mission of educating, supporting and developing youth.

Lights & Sirens International (LSI) was founded in 2009 by Ibn-Hashim Bakari after organizing an international basketball tournament for police and public safety personnel with a mission to help the less fortunate in the Dominican Republic. Lights and Sirens International is active in fundraising events that support children in Rhode Island and the Dominican Republic.
